LDW Highlights

This year, Bica do Sapato will be LDW creative hub. Our podcasts series in partnership with Portugal Manual sponsored by De La Espada will be recorded live there. Visitors will see all the permanent designers pieces specially created for the space such as the curtains by Maria Appleton, furniture pieces by Marco Sousa Santos (Branca), Manuel Aires Mateus, Daciano Da Costa, tableware by Filipe Alarcão for Molde Ceramics, textile for the table by Constança Entrudo, luminaries by David Groppie and Joana Fursade, cutlery by Cutipol. The renovation was done by Francisco Tojal Arquitectos.

There will be a special installation created for Lisbon Design Week by Sam Baron

This house does not start over. It continues. A space shaped by memory, yet turned toward the future. It honours its roots not by repeating them, but by creating new ones, through gastronomy, design, and a renewed sense of cultural responsibility. It is not a place that repeats, but one that adds. With care, intention, and rhythm, Bica returns as a house with many voices, and a single soul.
