For this new edition, Luso Collective presents "Integrity of Form". Delving into the intricate relationship between functional and aesthetic appeal, challenging creators to push the boundaries where these two often opposing elements intersect. Material-driven processes yield unprecedented results, that bring the tension between practicality and beauty to the forefront, engaging with how materials can transform, respond, and even reshape themselves under the demands of functional requirements versus artistic vision.

The Basilica da Estrela is hosting this year exhibition of Luso Collective. It is one of Lisbon’s most impressive churches and a major landmark in the Estrela district. Built in the late 18th century, it combines Baroque and Neoclassical architecture and stands on a hill opposite the Jardim da Estrela park. Inside, the chapel and nave are richly decorated with polychrome marble in shades of grey, pink, and yellow, arranged in geometric patterns across the floors and walls. Light enters through openings in the dome, illuminating the space and highlighting paintings by the Italian artist Pompeo Batoni.
