LDW Highlights

We embrace the 4th edition of Lisbon Design Week and invite you to discover Roca’s innovative bathroom product design, alongside the contemporary art exhibition “The Beauty in Everyday Rituals” by Teresa Nunes. A Portuguese-Australian textile artist with a background in communication design and art education, Teresa creates jewelry and other experimental objects, exploring different textile and ceramic techniques. At the Roca Lisboa Gallery, she presents an installation carefully conceived for this space, where textiles transform memories and stories from the bathing environment into art, celebrating the connection to water as an essential natural element and the beauty and well-being rituals carried out in the bathroom.Every detail of the installation reflects sustainable practices and the circularity of objects, questioning our relationship with time and the use of materials.Come and explore this sensory and immersive narrative, where design and art meet to inspire and surprise. Discover “The Beauty in Everyday Rituals” by Teresa Nunes at the Roca Lisboa Gallery — an invitation to feel, reflect, and create memories.

Roca Galleries are spaces that reflect Roca’s commitment, as a leading company in the market, to maintaining an ongoing dialogue with society. They do so by creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge with professionals in the fields of architecture, design, and with all those connected to innovation and sustainability. The Roca Lisboa Gallery is an open space for the city where visitors can discover the latest innovations in the world of bathroom design and the sensations that surround it. It also serves as a meeting point in the city for discussions on architecture, design, and sustainability.Housed in a century-old building, the gallery results from a project designed by the Ferruz Decoradors studio, which respected and enhanced the original elements — columns, staircases, wooden floors, and cornices — preserving the character of the former 1909 mansion. The historic building has nevertheless been equipped with state-of-the-art technology, creating a balance between tradition and innovation. With its entirely white neoclassical façade, the building stands out in Praça dos Restauradores. Inside, visitors will find not only a selection of Roca products but also a multidisciplinary space dedicated to temporary exhibitions and sociocultural gatherings — a true meeting point for design, culture, and ideas.
