LDW Highlights

Among the selected authors, two distinct bodies of work stand out, reflecting the vitality of contemporary design.

The young ceramicist Eva Lé has been developing a highly distinctive organic language, exploring materiality, texture and expressive gesture in pieces that move between sculpture and functional object. For this occasion, she has created an exclusive collection for the CAM shop, inspired by the species found in the garden. Magnolias and casuarinas take shape in delicate pieces, where nature is reinterpreted through a sensitive and experimental approach.

At the same time, within the new Spotlight format — launched in this edition of Design Week to showcase the trajectory of a single creator — the CAM shop presents a retrospective of product designer Miguel Soeiro. His work is characterised by formal simplicity and the inventive use of traditional materials, often in collaboration with artisans. From furniture to cutlery, all his creations demonstrate a balance between technical rigour, material exploration and formal purity. Internationally recognised, Miguel Soeiro has established himself through collaborations with other artists, exhibitions and awards that underline the significance of his contribution to the contemporary design landscape.

A dynamic space dedicated to creators and brands established in Portugal. In addition to unique works by artists, the store offers a curated selection of products inspired by iconic names in the Collection — from Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso to Paula Rego — as well as by the magnificent Gulbenkian Garden. Visitors will also find a refined selection of books on contemporary art and culture, including essential titles and the latest exhibition catalogues.
