ODARA STUDIO
Ceramics
Margarida Neves is a Portuguese ceramic artist drawn to the rawness and honesty of clay. Through working with the material, she found a deep sense of meaning in the act of making. This journey led to the creation of ODARA Studio, a world she now invites you to explore.
More than just a name, ODARA is a feeling: a celebration of beauty, peace, simplicity, and connection. ODARA Studio embraces a philosophy of quiet surrender to the material, where each piece emerges through a slow and thoughtful process. It is a collaboration between the clay and the maker, allowing the work to unfold naturally, without a fixed outcome.
Each piece is shaped by hand using the coiling technique, a method that honours both the rhythm of time and the unique qualities of each clay body. Different clays are selected for their texture and natural colour, allowing the raw beauty of the material to remain present. Here, the tones and surfaces of the earth become part of the design.
Through this practice, ODARA Studio develops an unique organic language, creating pieces that feel as though they were found rather than made. Imperfect, yet resonating with the powerful simplicity of nature’s forms.
