Quiet Objects — Panel Talk with the Artists
This moderated panel brings together the artists of Quiet Objects—Vanessa Barragão, Olga Ermol, Mariana Ralo, João Bruno Videira, and Marta Ramada Leite—for a conversation on the evolving role of textile within contemporary art and interior design.
The discussion will explore how textile, historically associated with craft and function, is increasingly positioned as a conceptual and spatial medium. Moving between disciplines, the artists will reflect on how material processes translate into sculptural forms, and how textile operates within interiors—not only as decoration, but as a structuring and atmospheric element.
The talk offers insight into the transformation of handmade practices into contemporary artistic language, and the ways in which textile can redefine the relationship between object, space, and experience.
Organized and produced by THE CURATED Lisbon in collaboration with The Vintage Hotel, on the occasion of Lisbon Design Week.
