Late Opening: “What can a home hold?” - Collective exhibition at Artlier
Artlier is a school of arts and crafts, a collective of artisans, makers, artists, and entrepreneurs who bring together knowledge and leisure. It is a place for sharing, learning by doing, and exploring techniques across multiple practices, where meaningful objects and moments are created around a shared table.
For the 4th edition of LDW26, Artlier presents “O que cabe numa casa? / What can a home hold?”. The exhibition considers the home as both a physical and imagined space, an extension of identity shaped by objects, gestures, and memory. Homes reflect identity through what we keep, while the ways we inhabit space reveal individual and collective histories.
Echoing Gaston Bachelard, the home emerges as an intimate cosmos. Bringing together Artlier’s community of creators, the exhibition unfolds across diverse practices, inviting visitors to engage with the layered meanings of home as both site and idea.
