À Flor do Azulejo, a Cor do Tejo
Fahrenheit.works, in collaboration with Wasted Time, presents a material and culinary event. The project explores the intersection of regenerative design, gastronomy and visual language from the past offering a tangible perspective on how we might redefine our material culture. The night is threefold:
An opening; presenting Fahrenheit.works design pieces, alongside a new collaborative work developed specifically with Wasted Time.
A materiality; furniture crafted entirely from 100% biomaterials, utilizing algae and oyster shells recovered directly from the food industry.
A tasting; sustainably farmed Sado River oysters by Neptune Perle, accompanied by a complementary pairing from the chef at House of Thoughts.
By pairing the tasting of the oysters with the furniture made from their discarded shells, the event offers a direct, sensory understanding of circularity. It is an invitation to observe how shifting practices towards biomaterials can inform a practical and regenerative approach to design, while paying homage to Portuguese’s art of communication.
Established in Lisbon in late 2022, Wasted Time operates worldwide from its Portuguese flagship, both an atelier and a showroom, serving as a platform where craftsmanship, art and design meet. With a strong emphasis on art direction, it blends traditional techniques with contemporary experimentation, driving concept-led projects and curating an eclectic collection of limited-edition pieces that celebrate local artisanship and foster meaningful collaborations.
By bridging past and present, the studio explores art direction through a diverse range of practices, including naming, branding, typography, signwriting, printmaking, packaging, merchandising and illustration.
