Ceramics
Kiki Voortman is a Dutch designer and illustrator based in Lisbon. Trained as a textile designer at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, she moved to Portugal 10 years ago and founded studio k., a creative space where she explores ceramics and illustration.
Initially working in textiles, Kiki transitioned to ceramics and ended up working with porcelain after settling in Lisbon. Her work, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, includes contemporary porcelain pieces ranging from colorful tableware to inerior design obnejcts, such as lamps and wal decorations.
She exclusively uses porcelain for her work, she loves the tactile (unglazed) surface and the strenght of the material, creating unique matte and sometimes translucent objects.
