Catarina Carreiras
Designer
Catarina Carreiras (Lisbon, 1985) is a designer and creative director working across different media and contexts, moving fluidly between graphic design, objects, spaces, and visual narratives. She graduated in Communication Design from the University of Fine Arts in Lisbon and approaches her work through curiosity, intuition, and a poetic attention to detail. Collecting colors, shapes, and references has become part of her personal visual archive and creative process.
Since 2008, she has collaborated with designer Sam Baron, first at Fabrica in Treviso and later in Lisbon. After spending a year in New York at Karlssonwilker Inc., she returned to Lisbon to co-found Studio AH HA in 2011. In 2020, she launched This Must Be the Place, a hybrid space between a design studio and gallery. Her clients include Vitra, Musée du Louvre, Opéra de Paris, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Moleskine, Amazon, and Vista Alegre.
